Hello Chargers and Happy New Year! The BPC Post team hopes everyone had the happiest of holidays! The middle schoolers did a great job on first trimester report cards - keep up the good work!

The US government is still in shutdown as American federal workers caught in the crossfire are forced to work without pay. The president refuses to sign on the national budget until house democrats agree to pay the 5 billion dollar cost for a border wall. (More on that later) The 116th congress was sworn in on January 3rd, with more diversity in Senators and Representatives than America has ever seen before.

In other world news, a new fad is taking social media by storm. A simple picture of brown egg has become the most liked Instagram picture of all time with 45 million likes and counting. The egg has vastly defeated Kylie Jenner’s previous record of 18 million likes. Check this out on the @world_record_egg Instagram account!

The seventh graders are celebrating winning the NJHS canned food drive contest that finished last month before Winter Break. While 7A donated the most cans, 7B had the greatest rate of participation. In total, the middle school donated over 1,100 cans to City Harvest! Thank you for everyone’s participation!
