By Vivienne Rachmansky and Bianca Thompson on February 27

Hello Chargers! We hope everyone had a great winter break!

February started off with a chill, and some bizarre weather affected people all over the country. Chicago and Minneapolis both boasted record low temperatures at the end of January, and New York went back and forth between high and low temperatures. Two fun January events at 276 were the annual Winter Carnival and the Tropical Beach Dance.

The first anniversary of the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL was remembered on February 14th. The families of the victims remember their children as they continue pushing for stronger gun legislation throughout America.

Shoutout to the students of 7B for having the weakest immune systems in IS 276 history! By the end of the day on Thursday, February 14th, there were 8 students present- and even they were sniffling and suffering in sickness. Make sure to wash your hands!
