School fundraisers can be fun for everyone. Depending on the event, you can do face painting, fun games, and buy products and merchandise from the school. One problem that students have been faced with recently, though, is that they are getting way too expensive and that makes people not want to go. We talked to 6th grader Nil Kantaroglu and she gave us her opinion on it. “I think that the old price was much better for the Winter Carnival, it's really expensive for families to come in. For example, if a family of four wanted to go to the Winter Carnival it would be about $100, and if you think about it that's a lot of money for just a carnival. I think that the old price was much better and more people wanted to go to the winter carnival more in previous years.” So, many people would love to go these fundraisers but there is always a line people will not cross when it comes to pricing. Furthermore, at this year’s Middle School Talent Show, the price for one to get in was $12. Because this is an event that students attend to watch their peers perform, there should have been a lower student price so more of the students at 276 would have attended. Hopefully, in the future, the school administration will change the prices to these fundraisers to make it affordable for everyone.
