On January 19th, social media was in tears over an announcement of Boo’s death. Boo, a twelve year old Pomeranian, was labeled as the “World’s Cutest Dog,” and beloved by millions of humans (and their furry companions)! His owners made an announcement over Facebook that Boo had followed in the death of his best friend, Buddy. The two were inseparable, but after Buddy’s death, Boo began experiencing heart issues. Over Facebook, Boo’s owners made the following heartwarming statement; "I brought Boo home in the spring of 2006 and so started the greatest, most heartwarming friendship of all time. Shortly after Buddy died, Boo showed signs of heart issues," they explained. "We think his heart literally broke when Buddy left us. He hung on and gave us over a year. But it looks like it was his time, and I’m sure it was a most joyous moment for them when they saw each other in heaven."
Boo became an internet sensation in 2010, when celebrities began posting about him. Ke$ha and Oprah were only a few on the list. He even has a book that was published in August of 2012! Hopefully, Boo’s legend will live on throughout the lives of his fans. His sixteen million and counting followers will always have a place in their hearts for his adorableness. May he rest in peace.
