Do You Still Feel Blue?
Do you still feel blue?
Even when the sun is shining?
Most times, I do.
Even when there’s morning dew,
Even when you’re finely dining,
Do you still feel blue?
Even when the birds tweet “coo”,
Even when the kids aren’t whining,
Most times, I do.
Even when there’s much to brew,
Even when the Earth’s refining,
Do you still feel blue?
Even when my smiles look true
Even when the stars’ aligning,
Most times, I do.
Even when you cure the flu,
Even when you are resigning,
Do you still feel blue?
Most times, I do.
Ambiance
The sounds that we refuse to hear
Because we’re always busy,
Stop and open your ear.
The quiet footsteps of a deer,
The soft waves of the sea,
The sounds that we refuse to hear.
The clinkings of a clockwork gear,
The sparks flying from a battery,
Stop and open your ear.
The murmurings from the eerie seer,
The buzzings from a flea,
The sounds that we refuse to hear.
The children that all love to sneer,
The kids that shout with glee,
Stop and open your ear.
The stolen child that screams in fear,
The shakings of a tree,
The sounds that we refuse to hear,
Stop and open your ear.
Smiles
I’ve forgotten how to smile
I’ve forgotten how to laugh
I’ve forgotten where I’m going
Can you take me to the path?
I’ve forgotten how to smile
I’ve forgotten to pretend
Will society disown me?
Will my life come to an end?
I’ve forgotten how to smile
And although I shouldn’t care
The punishments that come with it
Is something I can’t bear
I’ve forgotten how to smile
In a world that loves to lie
I’ve forgotten how to smile
Now it’s time to say goodbye
