Hello Chargers and Happy Spring!

Spring sports have started off on a good note and we hope the Chargers continue do well this season in track, volleyball, baseball, and softball! On Monday, February 26th, a small fire occurred in the art room. All is well now, and the fire department has cleared the school to be safe.

High School Acceptance Letters: Last week, the eighth graders were overcome with emotions as they got their high school acceptances. The day was full of opportunity and nerves as eighth graders awaited the email that would decide their future. Congratulations to them for surviving IS 276 for this long!

College Cheating Scandal: A college cheating scandal has recently come into the eyes of the public. On March 12, the Department of Justice announced that over 50 people have been arrested in connection with a college admissions scheme. The scam included cheating on standardized tests and bribing admission administration. Many-known names, such as Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, have been indicted on charges. Be sure to read our feature on page 12.
